ROYAL BARGE PROCESSION

In het kader van klein leed: Koning Bhumibol heeft de Royal Barge Procession die zaterdag 22 oktober plaats zou vinden, verplaatst naar zijn verjaardag 5 december. De Royal Barge Procession is een groots spektakel en bestaat uit een vloot van 52 historische Koninklijke schepen. De vloot is verdeeld in 5 groepen met als middelpunt het grote Koninklijke schip ‘Suphannahongse’. Het is een oude Thaise traditie die al 700 jaar bestaat en onregelmatig plaats vind, de laatste keer was 5 november 2007.

Emma is allicht één van de meest gefotografeerde ladyboys van Pattaya. Elke avond spot je hem wel ergens in Walking Street, zijn favoriet werkterrein. De Emma fanclub is al dermate groot dat hij het zich kan veroorloven van kieskeurig te zijn, boven de 45 maak je helemaal géén kans meer, ben je tussen 30 en 45 dan dien je 2500 Baht op te hoesten, ben je jong en bovendien er niet onaardig uitziend, dan loop je kans om zelf door Emma opgepikt te worden. Another sauce from the Thai Heritage product line (Thai company) is the Red Curry Paste (price 1,99 euro) . Maybe it is because I'm used to the yellow curry paste, that I still have to appreciate the green and red curries. But we all only life once, so taste them. Get out of the standard routine, and enjoy different cultures and cuisines.

Sharwoods Biryani Tomato sauce

To add flavours to my taste-papils, I bought also this from Sharwoods it is Biryani Tomato and Cumine Sauce (price 3,49 euro) . see picture. Sharwoods has a lot of sauces from different parts of the world. My girlfriend is preparing it, I will add pictures of the dishes when this blog gets more format. Tiger Spicy Wasabi chips

Funny, sometimes one just has to watch other people, to realise what it is all about in life. So I discovered last year this fantastic guy Phil from Philinbangkok, and it took me quit a while to understand it. That it is all about food ! So today I bought this Spicy Wasabi Chips from http://tigertiger.info/ they have a very big foodline of asian foods but unfortunately not all of them are available here in Belgium. This is the first time I enjoyed the Wasabi flavour and it is a chinese mustard, very similar to the yellow stuff in Europe (mustard) but still different. I hope all people buy this flavour and enjoy it. It is special indeed. Below the picture of the fancy package. (price was 2.39 euro, found in Carrefour)

shiwa - thairice

I bought this thai rice in the Colruyt Belgium, it is a sticky rice and I'm addicted to it. I used to buy rice in seperate bags for cooking, but after practicing with the amounts of water and rice I'm getting pretty good in doing it myself from a big bag.
